We call our cooking style 'Liberated Chinese Cooking'. By this, we mean that while we are respectful of the Traditions which we grew up with, we do not feel unnecessarily restricted by the past.

The origins of our cooking stem from the traditions of 'Nanyang' Chinese cooking. 'Nanyang' refers to South East Asian Chinese cooking, a region of the world encompassing among other countries Malaysia, Singapore & Thailand and populated by Chinese immigrants. It has a tropical climate which provided us with an incredible diversity of spices and produce. We see our traditions as the flavours we grew up eating, the food we ate in our homes and with our families as the main source of inspiration for the style of taste. has its origins in Nanyang Chinese cooking.


While we recall every day our childhood and where we came from, where we are today is now our primary source of inspiration.

Like our ancestors who first settled in Malaysia, we feel the same wonderment and curiousity to explore what the world has to offer.
